Dental Sealants

Many people have deep grooves in their teeth where bacteria and food particles can cause damage. Because children are still learning good brushing habits, they may develop decay on hard-to-reach molars. Adults with fissures and grooves that are hard to clean also have trouble brushing effectively. To protect teeth, Dr. Mosby often suggests dental sealants.

Made of a thin, plastic coating that Dr. Mosby or one or our hygienists paints onto the teeth, dental sealants create a physical barrier against small food particles and cavity-causing bacteria. This prevents tooth surface decay, commonly known as cavities. With proper care, your children's dental sealants can last up to ten years.

We take protecting your children's teeth seriously. Visit our patient library for more information about dental sealants, and then call to make an appointment. Conveniently located in Kingwood, we welcome patients from the Humble, Crosby, Spring, and Houston areas.
